The Green Youth of Ukraine went to the municipality for the clean air

Representatives of the youth wing of the Green Party of Ukraine took part in a joint protest with NGOs called «Trip for fresh air to the municipality», that was held on Saturday March 13 near the building of Kyiv municipality.

About 80 protesters in gas masks, respirators and gauze bandage came to the central entrance of the municipality, where they burned paper and shouted their demands in the loudspeaker. In this way they tried to express their protest against the mass decreasing of green areas in the capital. They held signs with words «Stop capturing our children's right to breathe clean air», «Kyiv without trees?», «Save the life of the seed!».

«We are forced to act somehow, to attract public attention and Kyiv authorities to this problem, because in recent years several parks and gardens were destroyed in the capital» - says the press-service of The Green Party of Ukraine. 

As all know, several green areas were completely destroyed, for example the Stus park near the subway station Zhitomir, the pines territory near the subway station Darnitsa, the park near the subway Lybidska, on the street. Revutskogo, Solomiansky forest park, green area near Dnipro at the Postal Square, wood from the side of Troeschina etc.

«We have to stop it! Kyiv, the capital city of Ukraine, has to be green, and not look like the stone jungle» - The Green Party of Ukraine claims.
